System Integration
Lattice System
The lattice structure is self supporting as it sits in the intervention to display concept while providing necessary functions such as lighting and areas of rest. The lattice aims to visually provide a sense of building structure and support as it wraps floor plates and frames intimate spaces.
The lattice is connected to the building system through a ball and socket joint hidden within the building walls. The lattice joint can be set at any angle provide its necessary function, once combined with another joint to create the lattice system, it can no longer be moved.
Steel System
The steel structure supports intermediate scale throughout the intervention while dividing spaces and connecting floors. The steel is pulled back from the floor and plane as vertical circulation is generated with an exterior shell to display concept and support program. Seating and desks are generated and supported by this system as well.
Conveyance
Circulation throughout the exhibition is direct and guided by careful interaction of all systems. The structure of the cast concrete stair is hidden as steel wraps around to act as a continuation of the steel sweeping curves.
